Oasis Academy Brightstowe is seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher of Food & Design Technology to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality, engaging and practical learning experiences for our students.

About the Role

  • As a Teacher of Food & Design Technology, you will:
  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons in Food and Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan and implement high-quality practical and theoretical learning experiences that meet the needs of all students
  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress in line with Academy policies
  • Contribute to the development of the Food and/or DT curriculum and enrichment opportunities
  • Promote creativity, independence and problem-solving skills through practical learning
  • Uphold the Oasis ethos and values in all aspects of Academy life

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS and a relevant degree (e.g. Food Technology, Design Technology or a related subject)
  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for Food and/or Design Technology
  • Has experience teaching at Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Is committed to achieving high standards for all students
  • Possesses strong classroom and practical environment management skills
  • Is organised, resilient and committed to professional development
  • Possesses strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Is enthusiastic, resilient and committed to professional development
