Strategic Careers Leader - UK Based with travel.

What drives the need:

Everyone has potential. It is one of the beliefs underpinning the Oasis approach to education. But it goes beyond the nurturing of potential through excellent teaching and learning. Our role as educators is to help reveal, appreciate and believe in the uniqueness of an individual’s capabilities and to prepare our young people for a future of sustainable, rewarding and meaningful employment.

We are determined to offer every one of our students, regardless of background, circumstance or label a future filled with opportunity and maximum fulfilment of the raw potential they uniquely possess. Our ambition is to deliver outstanding careers provision that will enable our students to succeed and to make a positive contribution to society,

To achieve this requires vision, persistence, influence and strategic prowess. And of course, a deep commitment to exceptional careers leadership.

Why Oasis?

With the right person at the helm of our careers education we can truly transform lives. Our focus on delivering exceptional education in areas of deprivation and disadvantage means our work is even more important and purposeful – so if your aspiration to change lives matches ours, we’ll help you achieve with a raft of initiatives and commitments:

• A team structure set up for success. Supported with bespoke training and CPD to upskill towards nationally recognised careers leader qualifications.

• Deeply knowledgeable support from National Careers Leadership to help implement strategies and to drive outcomes.

• A focus on national and local employer partnerships and interactions. We know that strong and invested employers who share our belief and purpose will bring opportunities, insight and new perspectives to our young people. We will make this a priority.

• Alumni engagement. Who better to inspire our students to believe than success stories from role models who have walked in their shoes. We shall enable these connections.

• Pathways and labour market information. Investment in diverse career pathway options and access to up to date local labour market information will give our students the best perspective on what their future could look like.

Through all this and with fresh careers leadership we will increase awareness, improve the quality of our CEIAG, deliver more meaningful destinations, reduce NEET numbers, bolster links with our primary academies, drive consistency of provision and give Oasis learners deep insight into the world of work.

Sound like the sort of place you could thrive?

We’ll pay you a good salary bolstered by a generous pension and a flexible benefits package designed around wellbeing and self-care. You’ll work with people who are kind, respectful and support each other in an organisation that is all about community.
