Behind every successful school is a team of dedicated professionals ensuring resources are managed effectively and every pound has the greatest possible impact.

At Oasis Community Learning, we believe every child and young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances. We're looking for a Regional Finance Assistant to join our Bristol Cluster and play a vital role in supporting our academies, communities and students. This is more than a finance role. It's an opportunity to use your skills to help create exceptional educational experiences and improve life chances for thousands of young people across Bristol.

As one of the UK's largest academy trusts, Oasis Community Learning serves communities across the country through a network of inclusive and ambitious academies. Guided by our vision and values, we work to transform lives through education, creating environments where both students and colleagues can flourish.

Our schools are supported by talented professionals who ensure our academies have the resources, systems and financial stability needed to deliver outstanding outcomes.

About the Role

As a Regional Finance Assistant, you will provide essential financial support across our thriving Bristol academies. Working closely with academy leaders and the wider finance team, you will help ensure financial processes are delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with Trust policies.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing purchase ledger and sales ledger transactions.
  • Managing supplier accounts and supporting BACS payment runs.
  • Raising invoices and monitoring outstanding debts.
  • Completing bank reconciliations and payment processing.
  • Supporting payroll administration and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and resolving finance queries.
  • Providing support with finance systems and user administration.
  • Assisting with ad hoc finance projects and wider team initiatives.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and enjoys working in a fast paced environment.

You'll ideally have experience in:

  • Purchase ledger and sales ledger administration.
  • Financial transaction processing, receipts and payments.
  • Bank reconciliations and financial record management.
  • Finance systems administration and user support.
  • Credit control and debt management.
  • Working with accounting software, ideally PS Financials (PSF) or similar systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.

Most importantly, you'll bring a positive attitude, strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent service to colleagues and academies.

Why Join Oasis?

We know talented finance professionals have a choice of employers. That's why we offer a rewarding package that supports your wellbeing, career development and financial security.

We offer:

  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
  • A genuine commitment to work-life balance.
  • A supportive and collaborative team culture.
  • Excellent professional development opportunities.
  • Access to a national network of finance professionals across the Trust.
  • Generous annual leave entitlement.
  • Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
  • The opportunity to build a long-term career within one of the UK's leading academy trusts.
  • Meaningful work that directly contributes to improving the lives of children, young people and communities.

If you're an organised and proactive finance professional who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys working as part of a team, and wants to make a real difference through your work, we'd love to hear from you.

Closing date: 9am 13th Oct 2026
