As a Teaching Assistant (Level 2)
at Oasis Academy Henderson Avenue, you’ll play a vital role in helping pupils
thrive both academically and personally. Working closely with teachers and
senior staff, you’ll support children across a wide age range, helping them
access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential. This is a
hands-on role where every day brings new opportunities to make a real
difference.
What You’ll Do
- Student
Support:
Deliver tailored in-class and intervention support, provide feedback, and
promote well-being.
- Learning
Environment:
Help maintain an engaging classroom, manage resources safely, and assist
with displays.
- Teaching
& Curriculum: Prepare lesson materials, track progress, support assessments, and
use ICT effectively.
- Pastoral
& Behaviour:
Encourage positive behaviour, foster inclusion, and supervise pupils
during enrichment and breaks.
- Collaboration
& Communication: Work closely with staff, liaise with families and partners, and
engage in meetings and training.

What We’re Looking For
- NVQ
Level 2 or equivalent, plus good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Experience
in a classroom or learning support role.
- Confidence
supporting pupils with SEND, EAL, or complex needs.
- Strong
interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organised,
adaptable, and committed to helping every child thrive.
- Willingness
