As a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) at Oasis Academy Henderson Avenue, you’ll play a vital role in helping pupils thrive both academically and personally. Working closely with teachers and senior staff, you’ll support children across a wide age range, helping them access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential. This is a hands-on role where every day brings new opportunities to make a real difference.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Student Support: Deliver tailored in-class and intervention support, provide feedback, and promote well-being.
  • Learning Environment: Help maintain an engaging classroom, manage resources safely, and assist with displays.
  • Teaching & Curriculum: Prepare lesson materials, track progress, support assessments, and use ICT effectively.
  • Pastoral & Behaviour: Encourage positive behaviour, foster inclusion, and supervise pupils during enrichment and breaks.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with staff, liaise with families and partners, and engage in meetings and training.

What We’re Looking For

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, plus good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Experience in a classroom or learning support role.
  • Confidence supporting pupils with SEND, EAL, or complex needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organised, adaptable, and committed to helping every child thrive.
  • Willingness to uphold the values and ethos of Oasis Academy Henderson Avenue.
