Class Teacher

At last. An opportunity for an already brilliant primary school teacher to seize the rare opportunity to break into staff team in a school where teachers rarely leave (for good reason). An class teacher role in a one form entry primary school committed to providing a great education through our Enjoy. Explore. Encourage. motto. But why OUR school particularly?

Oasis Academy Bank Leaze enjoys a unique setting with its woodland surroundings and a determination to embed outdoor learning through its Forest School sessions for all children. It is a school that embodies all that is special about the Oasis ethos and 9 habits – a way of learning and living that brings out the best in all, regardless of background.

We are big on sport and music and encourage all students to participate and to benefit from the opportunities, learnings and health advantages that brings – regardless of ability. (We know not every child will compete or perform at the highest level – but the taking part and having fun is key).

And we are Ofsted rated ‘Good’ with ‘Outstanding’ for Early Years and Behaviour.

Not wanting to blow our own trumpet (back to the encouragement of music) – but we achieved 79% combined reading/writing/maths for expected standard and 14% for greater depth standard. That makes us very proud.

 What’s in it for you?

• You’ll benefit from an innovative approach to flexible working with a PPA day every fortnight

• You’ll join an organisation committed to personal development – so expect lots of opportunities to grow and learn alongside your students

• The Oasis support with primary curriculum means the heavy lifting is already done – leaving you to enjoy, explore and encourage through your teaching.

• You’ll have regular termly meets ups with other  teachers in the Oasis network.

The job

As a class teacher you’ll have a proven track record of good or outstanding teaching and understand the use of accurate assessments to support progress.

Tech savvy (every student has an iPad Through our Horizons programme) you’ll combine ICT and inspiring teaching to create an exciting learning environment.

Enthusiastic, creative and collaborative you’ll thrive in a community where everyone has everyone’s back. Because sometimes teaching is tough, and we recognise the importance of a great team and the need to care for each other.

Outside of the classroom, Oasis Academy Bank Leaze is an active contributor to a thriving community that benefits the social, moral, spiritual, physical., emotional and environmental needs of all learners. And we love that aspect of our difference.
