This is a key role for someone who can inspire students and staff, and lead a thriving Music department that encourages performance, creativity, and achievement.
Job Overview
As Head of Music, you will lead the development and delivery of our Music curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be responsible for driving high standards of teaching and learning, developing engaging schemes of work, and creating opportunities for performance and enrichment. Your role will be central in promoting a vibrant musical culture throughout the school and wider community.
What We’re Looking For
- We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Music teacher who can demonstrate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Music specialism
- A proven track record of excellent classroom practice at KS3 and KS4
- Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
- Experience in developing curriculum plans, assessments, and music events
- A commitment to inclusive education and high expectations for all learners
- The ability to inspire and motivate students through a love of music
- A collaborative and proactive approach to whole-school involvement
