About our Executive Assistant - Midlands Role  

You'll be joining us at Oasis at a great time. Lots of work is going on in the Education sector and we're lucky to be playing a key role in shaping this. At Oasis we are a family and you won't do things in isolation here. We have a team of experienced staff in place, all working towards our shared vision for community; a place where everyone is given the opportunity to thrive.  

 

Our EA - Midlands is a multifaceted role. You'll be:

- Key to supporting and supportively challenging our Regional Director (RD) to help the smooth running of our 10 Midlands academies.

- You’ll manage diaries and you’ll manage a variety of requests for support to ensure that our RD can effectively carry out all her duties.  

- Proactive: a central point of contact for Principals within the region and with all the national functions that help support our region.

- A people person, great at building and maintaining relationships. A key aspect of the role is maintaining flow and operations of our hub councils, facilitating operations and keeping this all running smoothly.

- A key member in our Safeguarding and Mental Health team, supporting the Director of Safeguarding and wider team to ensure smooth operations.  

- A critical interface between regional and national operations.

Who will your key stakeholders be? 

As Executive Assistant you will work alongside the Regional Director for the Midlands, as well as our Director of Safeguarding and Mental Health and the wider teams. You’ll also be a key member of our secretarial function and ably supported by our Executive Assistant to the CEO. 

 

Key details and what will you get in return?   

Duration: This is a FTC for 12 months to cover a maternity leave

Salary: £37,035 - £40,476 + £3k allowance on top. Max: £43,476    

Base: primarily be Oasis Academy Benson (Handsworth); however the role will support either remotely or in person across our 10 academies around the Midlands as required (academy details can be found on website)

Hours: 37 hours a week with support required outside of this, should there be any critical incidents that need responding to.

If employment commences or terminates part way through a holiday year, the entitlement during that holiday year shall be calculated on a pro-rata basis rounded up to the nearest half day. Support staff have the following holiday entitlement:

• Under 2 years’ continuous service: 34 days holiday, comprising of 26 days + 8 Bank holidays. 

• Under 4 years’ continuous service: 39 days Holiday, comprising of 31 days + 8 Bank holidays. 

• Over 4 years’ continuous service: 40 days holiday, comprising of 32 days + 8 Bank holidays.
