Oasis Community Learning is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Deputy National Finance Manager to join our national finance team. This is a key operational role, supporting the senior finance team to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant financial outputs for stakeholders across our organisation.

As Deputy National Finance Manager, you will:

  • Support National Finance Managers in providing monthly financial reporting and management information to national office departments.
  • Build strong relationships with budget holders and project managers, offering informed budgeting, forecasting, and financial training.
  • Assist with capital reporting, including consolidated reports, asset capitalisation, depreciation schedules, and project claims.
  • Maintain financial controls and processes, ensuring reconciliations and reporting systems are accurate and efficient.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, supporting annual and three-year planning cycles.
  • Oversee balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations, prepayments, accruals, and inter-company balances.
  • Contribute to statutory accounts and DfE returns, ensuring compliance and supporting external audits.
  • Line manage and develop junior finance team members, providing training and guidance.
  • Support payroll, VAT returns, and pension pooling, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Assist with system improvements and operational projects, driving efficiency and best practice.

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • A professional finance/accounting qualification (CIPFA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of financial processes, statutory reporting, and compliance.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and capital reporting within a complex organisation.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to lead and support team development.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and the Oasis ethos.

This role offers flexibility and can be based at any of our 56 academies across the UK.
