We are seeking to appoint an inspiring and ambitious Curriculum Leader of Science to lead and develop our science department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner or an aspiring leader.
The Role
As Curriculum Leader of Science, you will:
- Provide strong, visible leadership for the Science Department
- Lead the development and implementation of a high-quality, ambitious science curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Support, coach and inspire teaching staff to deliver consistently excellent teaching and learning
- Use assessment data effectively to drive progress and close gaps
- Promote high expectations, excellent behaviour, and a love of science among students
- Contribute to whole-school improvement as part of the middle leadership team
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Is an excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge
- Has experience of leading, or the clear capacity to lead, a curriculum area
- Is committed to inclusive practice and high expectations for all learners
- Has strong organisational and communication skills
- Is reflective, resilient, and driven to make a positive difference
