Cleaning Operative

Oasis Academy Fir Vale is a vibrant and inclusive school dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming, and inspiring environment for all. We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Cleaning Operative  to join our team and help maintain high standards of cleanliness across the Academy.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and shared spaces to an excellent standard.
• Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests and carry out emergency cleaning when required.
• Follow health and safety procedures and infection control guidelines.
• Use cleaning equipment responsibly and store materials securely.
• Support the wider team with deep cleaning during school holiday periods.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Physically fit for tasks involving lifting and standing.
• Commitment to safeguarding and maintaining professional boundaries with children.

Desirable:

• Previous cleaning experience, ideally in a school or similar setting.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety practices.
