Join Our Exams Team

Oasis Academy Brightstowe is seeking reliable, organised, and professional individuals to join our team as Casual Examination Invigilators.

This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in supporting our students during examination periods, ensuring that examinations are conducted fairly, securely, and in accordance with examination regulations.

No previous invigilation experience is required, as full training will be provided.

This makes the role an excellent opportunity for those new to education as well as individuals with previous invigilation experience.

Our invigilators support both mock examinations throughout the academic year and public examinations during the summer exam season. Due to the volume of examinations taking place during this period, availability from May to June 2027 is essential.

About the Role

As an Examination Invigilator, you will help ensure the smooth running of examinations by:

• Preparing examination rooms, including setting out desks, equipment, and materials.

• Admitting candidates and ensuring examination procedures are followed.

• Distributing and collecting examination papers and materials.

• Supervising students during examinations and maintaining a calm and focused environment.

• Ensuring examination regulations and academy procedures are adhered to at all times.

• Reporting any irregularities or concerns to the Exams Officer.

• Assisting with the secure handling and organisation of examination materials before and after exams.

• Remaining vigilant throughout examinations and maintaining the integrity of the examination process at all times.

About You

We are looking for individuals who:

• Are reliable, punctual, and able to work flexibly during examination periods.

• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Can remain calm, professional, and attentive to detail.

• Work effectively as part of a team.

• Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

• Are willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

• Have experience working with young people or within an educational setting (desirable but not essential).

• Are available to support mock examinations throughout the academic year and can commit to regular availability during the main examination season from May to June 2027.

What We Offer

At Oasis Academy Brightstowe, you will benefit from:

• Full training and ongoing support.

• Flexible casual working opportunities around examination periods.

• A welcoming, inclusive, and supportive working environment.

• Access to staff wellbeing support and resources.

• The opportunity to contribute to the success and achievement of our students.
