Oasis Academy Brightstowe is seeking reliable and professional Exams Invigilators to join our team and support the smooth running of examinations. This is a vital role in ensuring that exams are conducted in accordance with regulations and that students have a calm, supportive environment during this important time.
The Role
As an Exams Invigilator, you will:
- Prepare examination rooms, ensuring correct layout and equipment.
- Admit candidates in an orderly manner and ensure seating plans are followed.
- Distribute exam papers and check candidates have the correct materials.
- Supervise students during exams, maintaining a quiet and focused atmosphere.
- Report any irregularities or misconduct to the Exams Officer.
- Collect and organise exam papers at the end of sessions for secure dispatch.
Full training will be provided.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for individuals who:
- Are educated to GCSE level (including English and Maths) or equivalent.
- Can work effectively as part of a team and remain calm under pressure.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Are reliable, punctual, and flexible.
- Demonstrate commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Are willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
