Oasis Academy Wattville is seeking a dedicated Attendance & Admissions Officer to join our team. This is a vital role in ensuring every child has the best chance to succeed by promoting excellent attendance and managing the admissions process.

About the Role

  • You will work closely with pupils, parents/carers, academy staff, and external agencies to:
  • Promote high levels of attendance and punctuality across the academy.
  • Manage admissions for all year groups, including maintaining waiting lists and liaising with the local authority.
  • Maintain accurate records on our Management Information System (MIS).
  • Provide general administrative support to academy staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administrative admissions process, including issuing offer letters and managing transfers.
  • Monitor and track attendance daily, following up on absences and lateness through calls and home visits.
  • Support initiatives to improve attendance, such as breakfast clubs and walking buses.
  • Produce attendance reports and liaise with staff and parents to address concerns.
  • Assist with end-of-year procedures and provide flexible admin support when needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in administration and data management (knowledge of MIS systems is an advantage).
