Are you a hands on facilities professional who takes pride in creating safe, welcoming and well maintained environments?
Oasis Academy Long Cross is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Facilities Manager to lead the day-to-day management of our site and ensure our academy remains a safe, compliant and inspiring place for pupils, staff and visitors.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll play a vital part in supporting our academy community, leading site operations, managing facilities staff and ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and maintenance across the academy.
About the Role
As Facilities Manager, you will:
• Lead the delivery of facilities and estates services across the academy.
• Manage and support Facilities Assistants and cleaning teams.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and statutory requirements.
• Oversee building maintenance, repairs and site inspections.
• Coordinate contractors and monitor service delivery standards.
• Manage site security, including opening and closing procedures.
• Support business continuity planning and emergency response arrangements.
• Maintain accurate records through the Oasis Health & Safety and Asset Management systems.
• Ensure the academy grounds, buildings and learning environments are safe, clean and fit for purpose.
About You
We are looking for a proactive and reliable facilities professional with experience in facilities, premises, estates or site management. You will have practical maintenance skills across a range of disciplines, including basic carpentry, plumbing and decorating, alongside a strong understanding of health and safety requirements and statutory compliance.
You will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities effectively and possess excellent communication skills. Comfortable working independently and using your initiative to solve problems, you will also have experience of coordinating teams, manage workloads and working with contractors to ensure high standards of service delivery.
A positive, flexible and customer focused approach is essential, as is a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Ideally, you will have experience working within an educational environment and hold relevant professional qualifications or certifications, such as IWFM membership, IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety qualifications, First Aid at Work, Manual Handling or Working at Height training.
