Oasis Academy Mayfield is seeking an exceptional and experienced Assistant Principal – Inclusion to join our established Academy Leadership Team for a one-year maternity cover (to start September 2026 or sooner). This is a key strategic role, central to the academy’s commitment to delivering Exceptional Education at the Heart of the Community.
The successful candidate will lead on all aspects of Inclusion, ensuring that students with additional needs, including those who are disadvantaged or have SEND, receive high-quality support and achieve positive outcomes. Working closely with the Vice Principal for Student Entitlement, you will contribute to shaping and delivering the academy’s strategic priorities in relation to Inclusion, safeguarding and student entitlement.
This role also represents an excellent professional development opportunity for an existing SENCO who is seeking to broaden their leadership experience within a well-established and supportive senior leadership team.
About us:
At Oasis Mayfield we strive for excellence in all that we do; our mission is focused around entitling our students, staff and community to an exceptional education. We seek to ensure staff, students and our wider community uphold our ethos of being kind, proud and determined. In order to achieve this we have three simple priorities.
• Leading happy and Healthy lives
• Transforming lives and empowering communities
• Providing an exceptional educational experience
We place a high value on the personal development and professional learning for our staff and all teaching staff have reduced contact time accordingly. By being part of Oasis Community Learning, which has 52 academies nationally, you will benefit from a strong support network and partnership within the South Coast and South West regions. You will have many opportunities to develop and share best practice to drive continual improvement, including through regional improvement networks and access to a competitive CPD programme nationally.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff to share this commitment and to undergo appropriate checks, including enhanced DBS checks and a willingness to demonstrate commitment to the values and behaviours which flow from the Oasis Community Learning ethos.
